My name is Rachel and I am passionate about helping people take care of themselves so they can give their best to the world! I love chocolate, hanging out with friends and family, DIYing, and finding new places to hammock. If you want to know more about why I write this blog keep reading!

Why I started this blog:

I started this blog to help people take care of themselves so they can give their best to the world. So often our culture pushes working to the point where many people feel guilty for resting or taking a break, even if its for an hour. I do not believe this is how life was meant to be lived!

Life is a precious gift and to live it to the fullest, you need a healthy mind, body, and spirit. Doing this requires exercise, creative outlets, healthy habits, and not pushing your self to the point where your life style is not sustainable. Of course there are weeks where we put in 110% to get something done and that is good. But we also need to learn to take time for ourselves so we can stay healthy. You do no one any good when you show up sleep-deprived and hangry!

The world has great things to offer and chances to make an amazing impact, but once again you need a good foundation to achieve those things. Now I am aware that we are not capable of perfection, and we will inevitably fail at treating life as though it is precious all the time, but we have to also learn to extend ourselves some grace (Get it? Precious Grace?). 

What I hope to be able to give my readers:

With this blog I hope to provide practical tips and ideas that enhance my readers’ lives. Whether that be tips on staying organized to decrease stress, daily affirmations to increase positivity, crafts to give a creative outlet and positive distraction from life’s chaos, or recipes that are quick and simple to give you more time with your family.
